HAPPY HOUR is a cocktail-fueled 60 minutes of random conversation with folks who have nothing in common, other than being New Orleanians in a bar. Featuring extraordinary New Orleans musicians playing live, host Grant Morris and sidekick deluxe Andrew Duhon.
In his native New Zealand Grant Morris was a TV writer who created and co-created shows for some of the country's most popular entertainers: comedian Billy T James and children's television favorite lactose-Dracula, Count Homogenized.
Relocating to Los Angeles, Grant wrote screenplays for Paramount, Universal, Showtime and a bunch of other producers, resulting in a number of regrettable productions including Shrimp on the Barbie with comedian Cheech Marin, cult classic The Return of Swamp Thing and off-beat romantic comedy Dead Dog.
In New Orleans, Grant was afternoon drive DJ on seminal New Orleans radio station The Zephyr, before founding FastBand GlobalCast with Christian Unruh and Andrew Spanswick, pioneering web-based broadcasting from a glass-fronted studio on Bourbon Street.
Grant is an interviewer on the Allison Miner Music Heritage Stage at the annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and is permanently working on making a biopic about the real king of rock'n'roll, Professor Longhair.
