We’ve got a lot going for us here in New Orleans these days. But even through the bad times – oil busts and oil spills, recessions, floods, and hurricanes – the economic heart of our city has kept beating. That’s largely attributable not to what goes on in the CBD, but what goes on on the Mississippi River.
The stretch of the Mississippi River here in New Orleans is the busiest waterway in the world. And the section between Milan Street and Henry Clay is the world’s longest wharf.
